"Dubonomics" represents a fairly radical shift in both music making and performance for me, and I am proud to now offer it to you here on Bandcamp. Prior to this project, most of my music had focused on producing and DJing house. Through this new music however, I have found new levels in freedom of expression, and created what I hope to be the first of many cohesive works.
I have always had an affinity for concept albums, so it was natural that my first full-length release would take at least a few cues from their ideals. As suggested by the title, the underlying theme herein is economics. Odd considering I've never taken a course in econ and generally claim to know very little about it. However, each song takes it's name from an economics term, with some following more closely and literally their definitions than others.
You can perhaps gain a little insight into the creative process behind each song by clicking on either the song names or the "info" link, where you will find both a definition of the name, and my interpretation as to how it relates to the music. Of course you are welcome to your own interpretations and free to draw your own conclusions, as with any art form.
